The Hijacked Bulk Carrier the DE XIN HAI is confirmed to have arrived off the coast of Somalia and is now in the vicinity of Hobyo.

It is not yet known if the pirates have contacted the owners and made their demands known.

The EU NAVFOR Maritime Patrol Aircraft monitored the ship in the area of the hijacking.

    I want to see some pictures of the bulk in Hobyo. And does the EU Navfor can confirm the location of Chinese escorting flotilla? It was said they were send to interrupt this hijacked bulk. Thank you, sir!

    BUT: I think that the OPS have to be extended and that there should be corridors established throughout the indian ocean..
